It seems like warm summer days are coming to an end. Occasional rain, overcast days and chilly nights. I honestly think that it does not get this cold in southmost Texas until maybe late December! It's going to be insane trying to dress appropriately for the coming winter.
My solution to being home-bound and freezing: home-baked chocolate chip and walnut cookies! See the emphasis on home-baked? Being the lazy and not too kitchen-savvy person that I am, I usually cheat and use ready made cookie dough, then add whatever.

So did you just use like plain sugar cookie dough and add the chocolate chips and walnuts? How did that idea never cross my mind? The reason I rarely make cookies is because it's such a pain sometimes to get out the zillion ingredients.
ReplyDeleteI got ones with chocolate chips already (because they were on sale and I am a HUGE sales shopper :P). And I totally understand what you mean! It's not that difficult to make cookies, BUT if you don't have the basic ingredients handy, it's not too convenient having to buy all those stuff for a few batches of cookies.
