Recently, I have been pushing myself to read at least half as much as I used to. Apparently it isn't easy. I find it to be a lot like going to the gym again after you've let yourself go for years and have not had any form of exercise and physical activity. It takes practice--lots of practice!
So when I heard about the FMPL (Fort Mac Public Library)'s annual book sale, I just had to go! They were selling books at a quarter each--any book they had on sale! By the end of the sale, I had picked up over 40 books for 7 bucks!
[Most of the books will have to stay in the trunk until there's more space in the room :( ]

Thank you! I'll check it out :)
DeleteOh my god, that sounds like a wonderful sale! I am so envious.
ReplyDeleteI used to be really into reading when I was younger, but then I discovered the internet and the television and I guess I just got more into that. When I broke my hip this summer, I kind of "re-discovered" books, and now it's totally zen for me. It's so underrated.
Like Caroline, I also came from the BBN, and I will also be following you! I hope you will check out my site, also. :=)

I guess that's what happens to most of us--we get suckered into the internet or TV!

Thank you! I'll definitely check out your blog too. :)
Deletehey, I have that same Agatha Christie book! A quarter for a book is definitely too good of a deal to be passed up--my lifelong dream is to have a old-school library in my own house--books on every wall of the room. We'll see if that ever happens.
ReplyDeleteHey Rachel! Thanks for dropping by :) Your own library with your personal collection sounds so wonderful! My dream is to have a quaint coffee shop that doubles as a small private library :D
