Here are a few pictures MeanBean and I took:
I was never really into extreme sports--mostly because I suck at every sport known to man and partly because I don't enjoy watching stunts where there is a 50% chance it would give me a heart attack. I must admit though that Kris Garwasiuk and Bruce Cook of Global FMX made it look fun. more after the jump >>
Another sideshow was Bike Boy, a juggling street performer. Apparently he had also auditioned for Australia's Got Talent! Here's his audition video (he has gotten a little bit better and quite funnier:
A couple of pictures from his street performance during interPlay:
Johndough is a local hiphop artist. Not a fan of the live performance, but I guess I should cut him some slack, given that most professional performers still suck.
And the blocked off street.
On a totally different note...
the next DIY post (hopefully before the end of this week) is on glass etching. However, I had been looking for Armour Etch--an etching cream--here in Canada and it is proving itself to be a very difficult task. Even an amazon seller had cancelled my order because the postal service wouldn't let her ship it (it's a corrosive)!
I also learned that the Canadian Walmart catalog is slightly different from the US Walmart selection (i.e. US Walmart sells etching cream, whereas the Canadian one does not!)
I had someone send it to me from BC and it is expected to arrive tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how that goes.
